Ash Agarwal
Chief Executive Officer

Ash serves as the President and CEO of SYMX.AI, a premier Industrial IoT company that has been serving the natural resource industries for over a decade. SYMX.AI leverages intelligence as its operating system to amplify the performance of mobile assets and personnel. Before SYMX.AI, Ash constructed and scaled Uptake’s mining business from the ground up, establishing one of the earliest AI-enabled Asset Performance Management software solutions for the resource industry.

With his broad experience spanning process plant operations, strategic planning, start-ups, and digital technologies, Ash has advised numerous C-level executives in the mining and manufacturing sectors on optimal digital transformation practices for their organizations over the past several years.

Ash earned his master’s degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he mentored several start-ups on business planning, product-market fit, and public speaking. He is also a guest faculty member at Stanford University’s School of Engineering and the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.

Saikat Prabhakar
Head of Software Engineering and Product Development

With over 19 years of experience across domains such as telecom, data-com, core networking and big data, Saikat is leading SYMX.AI’s Software and Data Platform teams.

Before joining SYMX.AI, he was a Director of Engineering at Guavas (a Thales company), working towards delivering their big data products across major telecom vendors globally. He started his career as a software engineer at Infosys and worked in various roles at leading software companies.

Saikat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Comm Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur. During his career, he has been speaking extensively across tech conferences.

Lisa Fedorova
Director of Finance Operations

Lisa is a strategic Finance Director with a Master’s degree in Finance and 15+ years of progressive experience. She has led financial operations, organizational transformation, and performance management across global organizations in the banking, transportation, and financial services sectors.

With a proven track record of scaling SaaS companies through to successful acquisition, Lisa brings deep expertise in financial planning and analysis. She is also hands on with KPI frameworks, budgeting, and change management — translating complex financial data into actionable intelligence that drives executive decision-making and sustainable growth.

Lisa is recognized for her ability to elevate financial performance by building cost transparency, streamlining operations, and engineering process improvements that deliver measurable business impact. She partners closely with senior leadership to align financial strategy with organizational objectives, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Ajaypal Sandhu
Product Manager Hardware

Ajaypal is an experienced Embedded Systems Design Engineer with a track record spanning over a decade in product development. His expertise encompasses cutting-edge hardware and firmware. Ajaypal has a strong history of successfully delivering world-class products to diverse customers in the communication, consumer, and automotive industries.

Before joining SYMX.AI, Ajaypal was a Senior Embedded Developer at an IIoT company. In addition, he held the role of a Hardware Design Engineer, contributing to the design of the next-generation ePaper based digital writing device.

Ajaypal received his Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University in India.

Amit Patel
Director of Project Management

Amit is the Director of Project Management at SYMX.AI, where he applies his extensive experience in the telecom and IoT industry to manage high-priority projects. His background includes working for a major telemetry company, where he managed projects for large construction, rail, and oil & gas companies. Prior to joining Symboticware, he filled project management roles at leading tech companies such as Rogers Communications and IBM.

Amit holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Toronto and a Project Management Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Bashir Chalabi
Director of Strategic Initiatives
Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications

Bashir serves as the Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at SYMX.AI and manages the company’s special initiatives. Prior to joining the company, he was vital in designing a Natural Resources Canada-backed energy efficiency benchmarking program for the mining industry. Before that, as a consultant with public affairs firms, including Hill & Knowlton, he led successful initiatives for clients such as Duracell, Tetra Pak and Kinross Gold, achieving reputational growth and recognition for environmental transparency.

Bashir holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. from the State and Law Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences.

Kirk Petroski
Founder, Chairman of The Board

Kirk’s journey in the mining industry began in 1993 as a Field Technician for Falconbridge Exploration. Progressing with technological advancements, he founded ERE Services in 1996, introducing GPS surveying to Northern Ontario’s exploration landscape. After completing his MBA cum laude from Laurentian University in 1999, Kirk cemented his network within the Sudbury basin by offering technical services to the mining supply sector starting in 2001.

In 2008, he co-founded Symboticware (now SYMX.AI), envisioning an open wireless platform that connects to mobile assets, facilitating real-time data flow and reporting on safety, production, and maintenance for informed decision-making. This innovation has since been commercialized in Canada, the USA, and Latin America, both directly and through an expanding network of high-profile global partners.

Besides being a founding contributor, past Director, Treasurer, and President of the Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Service Association, Kirk contributes to the Global Mining Standards and Guidelines Group. He frequently speaks at community-based events promoting technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. Additionally, Kirk served as a member of the Board of Regents for the University of Sudbury.

Jon Loeffler
Co-Founder, Ascent Capital

Jon is the co-founder of Ascent Capital, leading the firm’s direct investing efforts in private equity, venture capital, and real estate. He works closely with the firm’s key clients, guiding a broad range of complex financial decisions.

As an entrepreneur and investor, Jon also works closely with companies as an active board member and advisor.

He currently serves on the Advisory Boards of private technology companies. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Fort Worth Crimson Tide, a 501(c) charitable foundation that gives talented youth of Tarrant County the chance to participate in a Select Football program.

Peter Bryant
Board Chair, Clareo

Peter Bryant is the Board Chair of Clareo, a firm that provides expert advice to the mining and energy sectors, and Co-Founder and Board Chair of the Development Partner Institute, a nonprofit focused on improved social, economic, and environmental outcomes for communities from resource development projects. He sits on the Board of Advisors for two leading VC Funds, Chrysalix and Foundamental, along with various emerging tech companies, including Lilac Solutions, Symboticware, and Safe.AI. In addition, he has served on the Innovation Councils for multiple mining and energy companies.

He has advised many leading companies around the world, including Anglo American, BHP, Rio Tinto, Teck Resources, JCI, BP, GE O&G, Baker Hughes, Castrol, Edison International, and Goldcorp. He is an invited participant in the joint Rockefeller Foundation and Brookings Institute 17 Rooms program, focused on accelerating the 17 UN-established Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He is also a regular advisor and participant at the Future Mineral Forum’s Ministerial Roundtable. Peter co-authored The Growth Champions –The Battle for Sustained Innovation Leadership, published in 2012.

Peter’s opinion pieces have been published in the Journal of Petroleum Technology, Mining Global, and Chief Executive, and he is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal. He has also been interviewed by Bloomberg and CNBC Arabia.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand. He holds a CA from the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a co-founder of The World Innovation Network (formerly The Kellogg Innovation Network).

John Carpenter
President, Seabrook Island Club

John Carpenter is a turnaround leader and builder of successful businesses, with a 33-year global track record of delivering new, sustainable revenue and business models at Caterpillar. John joined Caterpillar in 1984 and, over the course of his career, held a variety of executive positions within the company, including international postings in Chile and Singapore. His last position at Caterpillar was Director of Digital & Technology, where he led the global construction industry’s digital transformation. Currently, John provides strategic and fiduciary oversight as the President of Seabrook Island Club, a premier private club of 4,000+ members in South Carolina.

John graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1984 and completed the Kellogg Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University in 2000. He holds an advisory board position with Tada Cognitive Solutions and Freshwater Advisors. John also holds charitable board positions with the Kiawah Seabrook Exchange Club and Sea Islands Hunger Awareness Foundation of South Carolina.

Eddie Nath

Aditya “Eddie” Nath is an entrepreneurial and dynamic business leader who has built and scaled multiple successful organizations in Digital Transformation, AI, ML, SaaS, IoT and Professional Services. He operates at the intersection of strategy, markets, technology and innovation and has created significant stakeholder value and revenues through innovative, scalable, high-growth and highly profitable business models. Currently, he serves as the Head of Sales, North America, at Mobilisights. Mobilisights is Stellantis’ data service business arm formed with a vision to contribute to a smarter world.

Eddie has extensive hands-on experience in Strategy, Growth Planning & Execution, Implementing Data-driven Go-to-Market Strategies, Product-Market fit, Customer Success and Operations. He has led sales and business development teams at innovative technology companies, launching, growing and scaling globally through his vast professional network.

Using innovative operating models, open collaboration networks, and strategic technology partnerships, Eddie has built highly differentiated ecosystems of opportunity and growth for companies ranging from Fortune 100 to startups.
